Rewilding Connections

Connection is a universal concept that can be understood within a variety of circumstances. Most people can comprehend the difference between connected and disconnected wires, but what does it mean for humans to be connected with nature, or for that matter, with each other?

This lecture and discussion will offer an examination of spiritual and social forms of connection between humans, and the natural world. We will examine various practices, found in the anthropological record of peoples from around the world, that are said to engender and deepen a sense of connection. Also, members of the audience will be invited to participate in a series of communication-based exercises that can be used to promote deeper emotional connections.
