Winter Adventure Day Camp

About the Event
It's winter in Maine - let's enjoy it! Learning how to be comfortable while having fun outside is a key aspect of rewilding our lives. Shelter, water, fire, and food are necessities for daily life and imperative in a survival situation. Increased natural awareness of our surroundings, including how to meet our own needs, and where various plants and animals may be found (even in the middle of winter), allows us to fully embody our roles as members of the community of life.
Join the Winter Adventure Day Camp for kids! 2 full days in the woods: come together as a team, set a camp, build a fire without using matches, carve a spoon, make string from plants, track animals and forage for food, cook lunch over an open fire, drink tea, eat bread on a stick, play games, make friends, have fun! 9:00am - 4:00pm; Thursday, December 27 and Friday, December 28th. General age range: 7-13. Snack and lunch provided. $65/day or $120/both days
Rewild Maine is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We depend on donations from the community to offer free classes and workshops and we are grateful for your support. Scholarships are available for paid classes on an as-needed basis and nobody will ever be turned away for lack of funds. All donations are tax-deductible.
