About the event

Observation is a fundamental aspect of nature connection. We need to be able to see clearly if we are going to identify any plants, animals, or behavior that we may encounter. We need to be able to take time to reflect and observe ourselves, also, in order to change. While it may be true that written language is unique to industrialized cultures, it's undeniable that storytelling is an ancient, cross-cultural human skill. And, in the modern world, nature journaling is a popular catalyst to deepen understanding.

Make a wild nature journal with birch bark for the covers. Learn a few simple ways to tie the knots that bind the book. Decorate your journal using pressed flowers and non-toxic industrial glue. We'll give an overview of hide glue, as well.  All tools and materials required - just bring yourself, your creativity, and a willingness to learn!
