About the event

Identifying wild plants is an ancient, invaluable human skill. Plants provide food, medicine, useful materials for tools, supplies and more. Indeed, humans worldwide have cultivated healthy relationships with wild plants, and all non-humans, for hundreds of thousands of years outside the realm of industrial civilization.

Join us for a walking tour of wild edible plants at the River Point Conservation Area in Falmouth. We'll teach how to identify, responsibly gather, and effectively use edible and medicinal plants. Let's meet at the edge of the Hannford lot, near the bridge, and walk a short loop around the trails. You may want to bring a notepad or a camera to document what you learn. We will provide some free, tasty snacks made from foraged ingredients!

NOTE: This class will be held entirely outdoors, rain or shine. Please dress appropriately. The class will begin promptly at the scheduled time. We will not be…
