About the event

Identifying wild plants is an ancient, invaluable human skill. Plants provide food, medicine, useful materials for tools, supplies and more. Indeed, humans around the world have cultivated healthy relationships with wild plants, and all non-humans, for hundreds of thousands of years outside the realm of industrial civilization.

Join us for an urban walking tour of wild edible plants. We'll identify as many as we can. We'll walk a lovely loop around the Merrymeeting Adult Education Center in Topsham. You may want to bring a notepad, camera, or a basket to collect samples. $35, includes some unique and delicious snacks!

Space in this class is limited. Preregistration, along with a paid deposit, is required to reserve a spot in the class. Deposits may be fully refunded in the event of a cancellation a week or more before the class, if the space is filled. Refunds for last-minute cancellations are unfortunately not available. Please plan accordingly. Contact Rewild Maine at (207) 449-7738 or rewildmaine@gmail.com if you have any questions.
