Mud Oven Build - Topsham

Do you like wood fired bread or pizza? Do you love oven roasted veggies caramelized from the high heat? Yeah, us too. And guess what there is this amazing old technology where you can build an oven out of mud. Yeah, like dig up the earth mud. So this is what we will share with you. As you might imagine, it's dirty work. And physical work. But also really fun.

From the plinth that supports the oven, to the insulated earthen dome of the oven, to a simple rain shield above, we will get down and dirty and share in this lovely creative process with you. Weekend one will be the primary build and weekend two we will polish it off and have a pizza, bread and roasted veggies party.
