Knife and Tool Sharpening
Time & Location
About the event
If there's one tool we use above all others, it's the knife. If you only had two tools to take into the woods, you may select a knife and an axe. Knives and axes are generally made of metal, which can be sharpened using a hard stone, or a factory-made sharpening-block.
Learn how to sharpen knives, axes, pruners, scissors, and other blade tools. Bring your own dull tools that need to be touched up, or come to practice sharpening some of our tools. We'll cover the basic theory behind sharpening edge tools, and practice using a variety of sharpening stones. $30 includes all required tools, materials, tuition, one flight of kombucha from Root Wild, and a tip for the bartender. Sharpening stones also available for purchase.
Space in this class is limited. Preregistration, along with a paid deposit, is required to reserve a spot in the class. Deposits may be fully refunded in the event of a cancellation a week or more before the class, if the space is filled. Refunds for last-minute cancellations are unfortunately not available. Please plan accordingly. Contact Rewild Maine at (207) 449-7738 or email@example.com if you have any questions.
