About the event

Humans have been hunting with bows and arrows for, at least, 50,000 years - five times longer than we have been building cities.  But, possibly, archery and spear-throwing are older. Spearheads have been found that are estimated to be as much as 500,000 years old. Humans have used ranged weapons, like rocks and spears, for hunting for at least a million years. Humans have made bows out of wood, bamboo, animal horns, and other materials throughout the years.

Learn to make a bundle bow! The bundle bow is a useful quick bow that can be made largely without using knives. Bundle bows can be made to be very strong and accurate! But the bows we will be making in this class are just toys. The tuition fee includes all required tools and materials. We won't be making arrows. Everyone gets one factory-made arrow.

Space in this class is limited. Preregistration, along with a paid deposit, is required to reserve a spot in the class. Deposits may be fully refunded in the event of a cancellation a week or more before the class, if the space is filled. Refunds for last-minute cancellations are unfortunately not available. The class will begin promptly at the scheduled time. Please plan accordingly. Contact Rewild Maine at (207) 449-7738 or rewildmaine@gmail.com if you have any questions.
